Callin Wild – Diversity Statement

Callin Wild’s success is built on the enduring relationships it has developed over the years with its clients and staff, which is based on the respect we have for the individual, commitment to providing each person with the opportunity to succeed and the value we put on respecting diversity.

We seek to provide all our staff with the opportunity for employment, career and personal development on the basis of ability, qualifications and suitability for the work as well as their potential to be developed into the job. We believe that people from different backgrounds can bring fresh ideas, thinking and approaches which make the way work is undertaken more effective and efficient.

Callin Wild will not tolerate direct or indirect discrimination against any person on grounds of age, disability, gender/gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation whether in the recruitment process, terms of conditions of employment, career progression, training, transfer or dismissal.

It is also the responsibility of our people in their daily actions, decisions and behaviour to endeavour to promote these concepts, to comply with all relevant legislation and to ensure that they do not discriminate against colleagues, clients, suppliers or any other person associated with Callin Wild.

Callin Wild is known for their positive working environment, friendly, informal atmosphere and a strong emphasis on developing each individual. We believe that the working environment should at all times be supportive of the dignity and respect of individuals, and to assist in maintaining a healthy working environment where unacceptable behaviour is easily identified, challenged and stopped.

We support the development of our staff by investing in our people, provide a healthy working environment and appropriate training so that they have the opportunity to improve their performance, raise morale, reduce stress and shine in their professional careers. This has led to a high retention rate of staff throughout all positions at Callin Wild.

All our employees are entitled to a workplace free from bullying, intimidation, harassment or victimisation; be treated with dignity, respect and courtesy; experience no form of unlawful discrimination and be valued for their skills and abilities.

Our Community

Callin Wild from time to time sponsors a number of one off local community events and also currently sponsors the Manx Fell Running League (6th year of sponsorship) and the Isle of Man Cricket Association. In addition, we work with a range of charities and notable initiatives including Manx Blind Welfare and the ongoing support of the work that Wish Upon A Dream does with granting wishes for sick and terminally ill children living on the Island.

Several of our staff volunteer their spare time in supporting initiatives that contribute to the good of our local community, and many of our Advocates have their own diverse, specific personal network which we seek to nurture and support to provide networking opportunities locally and internationally.
