Labor and Personnel Legal Service Practices

• Acted for Guangzhou* International Company Limited to provide an employee relocation resolution, which was recognized by the government, and was awarded the prize of ‘Trustful and Considerate Organization to Employees’ by the Guangdong Labor Union.

• Provided legal services for the large-scale central enterprise *Kwong Group in Macau-related cross-border labor employment.

• Provided employee placement legal services for the entire relocation of China* Construction Group’s subsidiaries from Guangzhou Haizhu District to Baiyun District. The project was successfully implemented with the assistance of PW lawyers, and nearly 200 employees involved no disputes.

• Acted for REV* to provide a cross-border employment design and solution of employment structure.

• Acted for ALPHA* to provide special legal service in hiring management.

• Acted for a US-founded candy company in China, to successfully finalize a nationwide redundancy project within a finite and tight time frame; our actions received high praise from the client’s headquarters in the United States.

• Acted for M* Nutrition China Ltd. to provide legal opinions on law application and risk assessment, to review legal documents, and to provide advice and solutions of legal issues in the 150 employees redundancy project; all affected employees signed the settlement agreements.

• Acted as the legal advisor for *Circuit (Guangzhou) Ltd., to provide legal services for a relocation project by transferring labor relations from one legal entity to another legal entity; which included but not limited to, providing legal opinions and legal documents for the project involving 2000 employees to secure the legal compliance of the relocation. The project was smoothly and successfully completed, with the exception of 12 cases which were finally settled by negotiation.

• In the infringement dispute of appearance design patent between two giant furniture companies in China, PW represented and defended Chang* Furniture, finally reaching a mediation with the Plaintiff, Au* Group in adverse circumstances, which received Client’s high recognition.

• The case of Copyright Protection for B*System, which was the recommended the Ten Typical Cases of National Intellectual Property Rights in that year by the Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Association.

• Entrusted by a third party payment agency and acted for the Company, PW applied to declare the utility model patent of a mobile terminal payment system invalid and instituted a follow-up administrative litigation.

• Acted for a Hong Kong company to win in a litigation of electronic business secret protection.

• Acted for Wrig* (China) in the case of cracking down on counterfeit chewing gum.

• Entrusted by an automatic beverage dispenser manufacturer in Guangzhou, PW instituted the utility model patent infringement ligation on “an automatic beverage machine power box” with a competitive enterprise in Changzhou, Jiangsu, and declared the patent invalid.

• Acted for Fuli* Crafts and Toys Co., Ltd. in the patent infringement case versus MG* Entertainment Co., Ltd..

• Acted for San* Technologies Limited in the litigation of waterproof camera shell invention patent infringement.

Practice Focus in Competition Law

• Reviewed Wrig* (China) in each sales areas of the country on the advertising contract, brand promotion service contract, advertising promotion, promotion sales promotion and promotion materials.

• Acted for P* Co. , Ltd. Guangdong to deal with the network advertising violations report and successfully made the report fail to file a case in the administrative department.

• Acted for Wrig* (China) to handle the report of the violation on the promotional flyer, which ultimately made the report not filed in the administrative department.

• Acted for Pharma* to review the complaince of the sales product advertising in China.

• Acted for BI* China (French-funded enterprises) to response the award sales administrative illegal investigation and punishment.

• Acted for Guangdong Su* Sales Co., Ltd. to deal with the contract dispute caused by the suspected false propaganda. Through repeated communication with the plaintiff and the court, the case was ultimately withdrawn.

• Acted for the M* Johnson nutrition (China) co., LTD to properly handle false reporting matters on the Mother and Child World Journal and QinbeiCOM, which protected the company’s goodwill.

Practice in Dispute Resolution

• Acted for a Chinese company and an Indonesian subsidiary to provide full legal services for the investment recovery of coal projects in Indonesia, including investment structure design, transaction negotiation, project recovery and subsequent investment disputes of more than US$8 million for Hong Kong international arbitration.

• Represented a well-known US-funded enterprise Ma* and its distributors in contract dispute cases for over 30 million yuan.

• Represented a high-end property company invested by the United Kingdom in litigation and won the case for a dispute over 50 million yuan in property management fees.

• Acted for a Hong Kong-funded company and a telecommunications giant company in a number of trial-level litigation agency services for disputes over 120 million yuan in contract payments.

• Acted for Zhao sued a financial platform service contract dispute and was selected as a typical financial case in Guangdong Province in 2020.

• Represented a Hong Kong-funded company and a Beijing company in the negotiation and negotiation of a 200 million yuan loan dispute.

• PW represented Guangzhou Entertain* Theater Management Co., Ltd. in the process of renting the Huachenghui Mall of Guangzhou City* Investment Group Co., Ltd., and the lessee sued for recourse of 20 million yuan in overdue rent and management fees. PW has formulated a detailed and meticulous response strategy through repeated case discussion, evidence collection, facts sorting and a lot of legal research work. The views expressed during the arbitral tribunal process were unanimously approved by the arbitral tribunal and finally PW helped client avoided 20 million losses.

• Acted for a number of commodity trading and service platforms such as Guangdong Precious Metals Trading Center, Guangzhou Commodity Exchange, Southern Cultural Property Exchange, Nanning (China-ASEAN) Commodity Exchange to deal with dozens of commodity trading disputes.
