Nelsons’ expert team of family law solicitors provide a full service in family matters to clients, whether as a result of matrimonial breakdown, disagreements as to arrangements for children, or the involvement of the state through Children’s Services. This ensures that we are on hand to assist in any family matter issues that we are approached in relation to, but also allows discussion and support in areas or cases with multifaceted aspects.

We provide legal advice to a variety of clients, including high-net-worth persons with complex business and personal assets to families and stay-at-home parents, nationally, and abroad.

The team offers a range of innovative legal services to provide choices according to what clients can afford and how much support they would like.

Our team includes a accredited mediator – Gayle Rowley –  and a collaborative lawyer – Emma Davies, who both have many years of experience in providing ADR in divorce and separation proceedings, and Resolution accredited specialists who encourage clients to adopt a sensible approach to the division of matrimonial assets and finances.

I contacted Nelsons on the recommendation of another client and was allocated Melanie Brigden. After the initial consultation I was more than confident that Melanie and of course Melanie 2 could handle this somewhat difficult case! Initially I went with a child arrangement order which both parents objected to but Melanie soon dealt with their objections and the order was given … I went for an SGO order as well and although it’s wasn’t granted didn’t feel it was anything to do with the lack of attention to detail by Melanie her hands were tied by social worker recommendation. This still didn’t stop Melanie pushing in court for the best outcome possible on the day .. I am totally happy my granddaughter gets to grow up in a safe , loving and stable future. I would recommend the two Melanie’s and employ them again in a minute .
