Career
Jennifer specialises in complex patent prosecution and IP strategy in the chemical sector. Her practice focuses on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications before the EPO and UKIPO, representing clients in hearings at the EPO in pre-grant, opposition and appeal proceedings, advising on issues relating to supplementary protection certificates, and the management of international patent filing strategies. She also has significant experience of advising on infringement and validity issues and has been involved in several large due diligence projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
In terms of technology, Jennifer specializes in chemistry, with particular experience in the areas of pharmaceutical chemistry, drug delivery formulations, synthetic methods, composite materials, polymers, carbon nanotube technologies and 3D printing inks.
Jennifer works closely with clients ranging from SMEs and technology transfer offices to multinational companies. Jennifer’s expertise includes representing clients in relation to their patent portfolios for drug products and candidates in clinical trials. She also has a particular interest in working with start-up companies to assist in the identification of inventions and the development and management of patent strategies to maximise the value of their IP.
Jennifer is recognised by IAM Strategy 300 as one of the world’s leading IP strategists.
