Career
Edward J. Newlands, a partner in Dechert’s global finance practice, represents asset managers, sponsors and other financial institutions on a broad range of financing transactions. Mr. Newlands has extensive experience advising on financings in the private credit space, as well as on private equity-backed leveraged acquisition financings. He regularly advises on transactions covering different strategies and levels of the capital structure, including senior credit facilities, asset-based revolvers, loan-to-SPV structures, subscription facilities, private placements, unitranche facilities, subordinated/mezzanine debt, structured equity, recapitalizations and workouts/restructurings.
