Position

Matthew Tinger is a partner in the Corporate department of the firm’s London office, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity transactions.

Matthew has particular experience in corporate real estate transactions and heads up the firm’s corporate real estate practice.

He regularly advises clients on acquisitions and disposals of properties within corporate structures, property joint ventures and on sale and leaseback transactions.

Providing an ‘exceptional service’ to owners, investors, UHNWIs and lenders in the hotel and leisure industry, the ‘leading’ multi-disciplinary team at Dentons has a significant international footprint, with recent engagements in France, Ireland, Italy and Croatia. Practitioners are well versed in international acquisitions and disposals, day-to-day operational issues, the structuring of mixed-use hotel projects and franchising matters. The trio heading up the practice comprises ‘top real estate lawyer’ Simon Masri, who acts on structured investment acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals in the hospitality sector; corporate expert Matthew Tinger, whose recent highlights have included the sale of Hilton Olympia London for £135m; and Phoenix-based Rick Ross. Also of note is Babette Märzheuser-Wood, head of the retail group and global head of the franchise group, who also advises clients in emerging markets on the use of licensing strategies. Heading up the team is the ‘solution focused’ Neil Nicholson, who regularly handles UK and cross-border M&A. Matthew Tinger has recently acted in the sale and acquisitions of hotels and real estate assets. With particular experience of advising North American clients, Darren Acres handles a broad range of transactions – including public and private M&A, joint ventures and equity capital market matters.
