Career
Anna is a Partner in CMS’ Insurance and Reinsurance Group, focusing on supporting clients in the social care, healthcare, aesthetics and life sciences sectors and their insurers.
Anna advises on insurance coverage, coverage disputes, claims and other investigations arising in these sectors. Anna is a highly experienced medical malpractice solicitor and was previously a NHS Resolution Partner. Anna has particular experience in advising on very high value and complex claims and disputes where multiple parties are involved in the delivery of health and social care services and advises clients on a number of risk management initiatives in those circumstances. Anna is also instructed by clients to support them at inquests, in other investigations (e.g. by the police or the CQC) and in relation to data breach claims, product liability claims, HRA claims and claims arising from healthcare provision within sports. Anna also has experience advising clients on expansion into the UK market.
Anna has a keen interest in supporting clients with risk horizon scanning in the social care, healthcare and life sciences sectors. She has spoken at events and provided training on the risks of digital healthcare, medical technology and AI and how clients can mitigate their risks and spoken with members of the firm’s cyber security team at events on the potential consequences of cyber incidents for clients in these sectors.
