Hernández & Cía’s public law team provides strategic counsel across a breadth of public law matters, encompassing general administrative advice in the regulated sectors, sanctioning procedures, and securing licenses and permits. Additionally, the team assists with regulatory compliance analysis and legal opinions. The team is co-led by principal associate and public procurement specialist Carlos González Prada, who joined the firm in May 2023 from Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uria; and former Estudio Echecopar member firm of Baker McKenzie International partner Samuel Abad, a constitutional law expert who arrived the same month. Senior associates Javier Alonso de Belaunde and Tely Porcel contribute valuable expertise in administrative procedures, and defence and legal representation in disciplinary proceedings across various public entities.
