Career
Diego is a partner in Consortium Legal – Costa Rica. With more than 23 years of experience, he is a specialist in the financial and tax sectors. He has extensive experience in tax consulting, litigation, mergers, acquisitions and tax planning mainly for multinational companies, as well as local companies. He currently leads the tax consulting practice in the areas of business analysis and advice.
Diego is considered one of the five most highly recommended tax advisers in Central America by the Latin Lawyer Magazine of the Law Business Research Institute of Great Britain. He has worked as an external consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank in the development and implementation of training programs for public officials and currently serves as columnist for the economic weekly El Financiero. He currently works in the area of teaching at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and heads his tax chair. On the other hand, he is president of the International Fiscal Association – Chapter Costa Rica and Member of the Costa Rican Institute of Tax Studies.
