Career

María José Henríquez, partner in the Antitrust and Compliance areas, has extensive experience representing clients before the Chilean competition authorities in mergers and acquisitions transactions and in complex investigations and litigation for anti-competitive behavior before the Antitrust Court and the Supreme Court. In the compliance area, he has experience in the design and implementation of compliance programs and prevention models.

She joined Morales & Besa in 2016. Previously, she was a lawyer at the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (2008-2010), reaching the position of Head of the Anti-Cartel Unit in that agency (2012-2016). Previously, she was an associate lawyer at Carey y Cía. specializing in antitrust matters (2005-2008).
