Rose’s practice focuses on commercial law in the areas of finance, commercial real estate, renewable energy assets and projects, and securitizations. She brings a wealth of experience to lending and bond financing transactions, joint ventures and the acquisition and financing of businesses, real estate, energy assets and mortgage portfolios. Clients benefit from Rose’s nuanced perspective of the market, having advised both lenders and borrowers on domestic and international financing transactions, as well as acting on many public transactions involving REITs and public bond offerings.

Rose has numerous clients with whom she shares a long history. For example, she has worked with Brookfield Asset Management and each of its energy, property and infrastructure platforms and First Capital Realty on its acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and development projects over the years. Rose also works closely with many of the Canadian lending institutions and their advisory groups.

The real estate group at Torys harnesses the combined experience of teams in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Calgary and New York, to advise owners, investors, developers, government bodies and lenders (including such clients as Metrolinx and Toronto Metropolitan University) on projects involving large-scale multi-use developments, joint venture ownership, energy and infrastructure projects and phased development arrangements, throughout their entire lifecycles, from initial acquisition through development, management and disposition.
