Madelein specialises in general corporate and commercial law and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). She has experience in advising on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange listings requirements, the takeover regulations, corporate governance and restructuring and exchange control. She has co-presented on the GIBS board leadership programmes and lectured on the corporate law module of the GIBS MBA programme, as well as that of the University of the Free State School of Business. She has published numerous articles on company law, general corporate law, directors’ duties and responsibilities and M&A
