Career

Callum O’Connor is a partner in Bowmans’ Johannesburg office Dispute Resolution Department. He specialises in high-value and complex commercial disputes and investigations with a strong emphasis on asset tracing and fraud claims, compliance and investigations, restructuring and insolvency litigation and class actions. Callum has been involved in various cross-border proceedings, as lead and co-lead counsel in multijurisdictional anti-bribery and corruption investigations and fraud and asset tracing claims. He has a B.Soc Sci. from the University of Cape Town, an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand, and has completed a Money Laundering Control course at the University of Johannesburg and advanced courses in company law, contract law and administrative law at the Nelson Mandela Institute He is a member of the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association.
