Career
Mike Benetello is the co-head of Bowmans’ Johannesburg office Tax Practice. His wide-ranging tax-related experience includes matters in the fields of mining, corporate restructurings, debt and capital restructures, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution, procurement of tax rulings, international tax planning and taxation aspects of business rescue. Mike is a past chairperson of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) National Tax Committee. He is also actively involved in matters relating to tax policy in South Africa. He is a registered Chartered Accountant (South Africa). He has an Honours degree in Accounting and a Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Johannesburg (RAU at the time of qualification).
