Position

Amy is of counsel of Maples and Calder’s Finance and Corporate teams in the Maples Group’s Jersey office.  Amy has knowledge and experience of a wide range of corporate and finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, structuring/establishment/operation of acquisition and holding structures, corporate and financing downstream private equity transactions, lender and borrower side financings and leveraged/structured financings.  She also advises on listing services on The International Stock Exchange (TISE).

Career

Amy joined the Maples Group in October 2018.  She previously worked at another international law firm in Jersey.

Maples Group is well versed in assisting clients with structured finance facilities, with a notable niche in advising on US-originated CLOs, while also acting for clients listing securities on TISE. Jointly heading the group are Paul Burton, a specialist in both public and private debt issuances, and Mark Crichton, who focuses primarily on the structuring of Jersey aspects of cross-border capital markets transactions. Amy Black acts for clients on both sides of leveraged finance deals and is also able to advise on TISE listings.
