Career

Christopher Machera is Co-Head of Weil’s Private Equity Group, and a member of the Firm’s Global Leadership and Strategy Committee. Since joining Weil in 2005, Chris has focused exclusively on representing private equity firms. His clients include large cap sponsors such as Blackstone, CVC, Goldman Sachs and TPG, as well as prominent sponsors in the mid-market (including Aterian, Citation, Cornell, GHK, GrowthCurve, Motive, Oak Hill and TruArc). In addition to the myriad other accolades he has received, Chris has been ranked in Chambers USA and Chambers Global in private equity for every year since 2019, where clients have noted that he is “a rockstar lawyer and a critical partner whilst going through the deal process” who “has the unique ability to both remain very involved in the details yet provide excellent high-level and overarching guidance and advice to his clients.” Chris is also recognized as a “Market Leader” for Private Equity in the U.S. by IFLR1000.
