Career
Michael Heidler is an accomplished appellate litigator who frequently practices before the Texas Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Texas intermediate appellate courts. Mike is involved in every aspect of the appellate process, from drafting briefs and motions to arguing cases in appellate courts. In addition, he counsels clients on litigation strategy.
Mike is highly experienced in the energy sector, particularly oil and gas matters, but his appellate practice extends to other areas as well. Mike has worked on breach of contract, fiduciary duty, antitrust, securities, condemnation, environmental, construction, tax, class-action, admiralty and tort cases. His energy-related cases include disputes over royalty payments, implied covenants, joint operating agreements, surface use agreements, indemnification, insurance coverage, and well permitting.
