The competition team at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP leverages the firm’s international reach and is therefore ‘able to advise on complex global matters’ particularly regarding M&A in the technology sector. Its contentious work includes cartel and conduct investigations across the technology, financial services, and pharmaceutical industries. Ingrid Vandenborre and Frederic Depoortere co-head the team, and alongside Bill Batchelor, they ‘are all very astute’: Vandenborre has significant experience in cartel matters, Depoortere is a go-to for the most complex merger control cases, and Batchelor, who also works out of London, specialises in conduct investigations.
