Mr James Whitaker

Position
James Whitaker is a partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of the London office, where he focuses on complex, high value commercial disputes and insurance-related litigation. His practice focuses, in particular, on disputes involving senior management liability (often relating to leading multinational and FTSE 100 and 250 companies), shareholder disputes, banking and financial institutions, professional liability, intellectual property disputes and political risk/trade disruption/contract frustration, including in the context both of traditional High Court litigation, and of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, particularly arbitrations (under LCIA and ICC rules in particular) and mediations. James has particular experience of derivative actions, unfair prejudice petitions, as well as securities claims and other class and collective actions, and has advised in relation to regulatory investigations involving senior directors and officers. He also advises extensively on insurance policy coverage issues.
