David Callahan is global Co-chair of Latham & Watkins’ Intellectual Property Litigation Practice and a trial lawyer who focuses on complex litigation in the areas of patent, trademark, trade secret, false advertising and unfair competition.

Mr. Callahan has more than 25 years of experience litigating intellectual property matters, has tried numerous bench and jury trials, and has argued many appeals before the Federal and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeal. He has particularly significant experience in the area of medical device patent disputes, and he has represented clients in a diverse range of other technologies including semiconductors, consumer products, automotive products and business methods, among many others.
