Goodwin‘s growing team has core strength in fundraising for industrial properties, and real estate more generally. John Ferguson in Boston, co-chairs the firm’s real estate industry group, and is key for real estate investment fund matters. The group more broadly often represents high net worth individuals and alternative investment firms. Mandee Gruen and Michael Halford, both based in New York, head up the team, and the former is particularly reputed for advising fund managers and sponsors on establishing compensation structures as well as fundraising. Practitioners are commended for a variety of funds expertise, whether ‘closing your first fund or negotiating a complex managed account with a large sovereign wealth fund’. Ian O’Donnell in San Francisco is noted for his capability in drafting fundraising documents.
