Maria Amélia Lisbão Senra is a partner of the M&A and Banking & Finance practices of the firm and has built a strong track record assisting national and international financial institutions, large corporations, private equity funds and multilateral agencies, in strategic corporate and financing deals, with notable mandates in the banking and financial industry, healthcare and consumer care, entertainment and energy businesses. With an LLM from The University of Chicago Law School and a Master Degree in Civil Law from PUC-SP, Maria Amélia is often involved in discussions with regulatory authorities regarding corporate governance matters, investor’s rights and management and controlling shareholders’ obligations. In the regulatory banking practice, Maria Amélia has been advising financial institutions and fintechs in licensing matters, structuring of financial products and compliance with Central Bank policies.
