Career

Justin C. Liang is the Head of the Banking & Finance practice group. His banking practice covers advice, negotiation, and documentation for project finance, acquisition finance, structured finance, securitization, asset-based aircraft/ship finance, trade finance, and derivatives. Justin is also experienced in M&A of both normal and troubled financial institutions, including transfers and non-performing loan deals. Justin’s securities practice area focuses on international and Taiwan capital markets offerings of equity, equity-linked, and debt securities. Additionally, Justin has been recognized as an Eminent Practitioner by Chambers Greater China, a Hall of Fame individual by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, and a Highly Regarded individual by IFLR1000 in banking & finance.

Mr. Liang’s banking practice includes advising on the negotiation and documentation aspect of project financing and other matters related to bank lending or other extensions of credit. He also focuses on M&A transactions of financial institutions and post-acquisition integration. Additionally, Mr. Liang practices in the areas of non-performing loan purchase and sales. He also regularly handles the acquisition of failed financial institutions from Central Deposits Insurance Company. Mr. Liang’s securities practice is focused on international capital markets transactions, including public and private offering of equity, equity-linked and debt securities in connection with financing transactions.
