Dr. Max Oehm is a partner of Baker McKenzie’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Max advises international clients on complex commercial disputes, in particular regarding professional services (advisors liability), post-M&A and IT-/ infrastructure projects. He represents his clients in state court litigation, international arbitration and in other ADR proceedings. The Legal 500 (2024) has recognized Max as “Rising Star Litigation” and Best Lawyers lauds him as “One to Watch” for International Arbitration, Litigation and Mediation since 2022.
Max holds a doctoral degree from the University of Mainz, Germany, and obtained a master’s degree in law at Boston University, USA, where he was awarded the American Law Outstanding Achievement Award. Max writes and speaks regularly on international arbitration and professional services issues. He teaches at the University of Mannheim, Germany.

(Next Generation Partners)Baker McKenzie‘s dispute resolution team stands out for its particular expertise in insolvency, antitrust and corporate disputes, including post-M&A conflicts, and is also well versed in contentious construction and plant engineering matters. The practice is regularly instructed by companies in the healthcare, infrastructure, automotive and energy sectors. In the latter area, Heiko Haller, who jointly heads the team with Günter Pickrahn, is considered the key contact for disputes relating to large energy projects, while he also focuses on assisting pharmaceutical companies with contractual conflicts. Pickrahn primarily concentrates on post-M&A disputes as well as licensing and intellectual property issues, while Tobias Höfling has extensive experience in corporate and commercial disputes as well as those relating to infrastructure and construction projects.
