Sanil specializes in intellectual property and technology law, representing and advising local, regional and multinational clients in contentious and non-contentious matters in respect of trade mark, copyright, patent and design protection and enforcement issues. He advises on the commercialization of IP and related technology and commercial matters, including licensing, franchising, transactions, privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, e-commerce, media, content and regulatory issues. Sanil also advises organizations on India inbound and outbound matters on various intellectual property, technology and commercial issues.
Sanil provides legal, commercial and strategic advice to high-profile clients to manage trade mark portfolios, including trade mark selection, clearance searches and trade mark prosecutions and oppositions in protecting key product launches and brand-strengthening initiatives in Asia Pacific. He also advises clients on IP- and technology-related transactions, and planning and executing IP enforcement and anti-counterfeiting strategies.
