Specialist in structured finance transactions, debt restructurings and special situations cases, and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in the structuring and implementation of a variety of restructuring transactions, such as debts renegotiation (amend and extend), extrajudicial recoveries (recuperação extrajudicial), distressed fundraising (such as DIP financing), as well as investments, assets sale/acquisition (including as ‘isolated productive units’, knows as UPI sale), distressed credit/NPL trading and M&A transactions in general. He has represented creditors in general, debtors in debt restructurings and extrajudicial recoveries and investors (such as strategic, local and international hedge funds and private equity investors). He has provided legal assistance to companies, banks, investment funds and investors in structured and complex corporate finance transactions, local and cross border, including syndicated loans, asset-based finance transactions, securitization transactions and
trading of credit portfolios (including non-performing). He conducted important M&A transactions involving financial and non-financial institutions. He also advise clients on regulatory matters related to banking, finance and capital market regulation.
