  • Acting for Chaincode Labs, a Bitcoin research and development centre, in its defence of claims made by Craig Wright, including Wright’s claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous author of the Bitcoin white paper.

  • Representing Banco Internacional de Moçambique and United Bank for Africa in their claims against Credit Suisse, in connection with the arrangement by Credit Suisse (with VTB Capital and others) of $2bn in financing for the Republic of Mozambique (the “tuna bonds” scandal).
  • Defending four of eight defendants in the $950m claim brought by two Russian State banks, PJSC National Bank Trust and PJSC Otkritie Financial Corporation, which is currently on appeal to the Supreme Court involving three transactions in which it is said that the clients conspired with the then senior management teams of Bank Otkritie and Rost Bank to replace approximately $950m of loans with corporate bonds.
