Gerald is highly regarded in the real estate sector, and his clients benefit from his experience working on landmark deals.

He focuses on real estate and on corporate and international finance. He has advised clients on some of the highest profile cross-border real estate transactions in Japan, including transactions that won Real Estate Deal of the Year in 2009 and 2010.

His clients include real estate investment funds, REITs, sovereign wealth funds and real estate lenders. Recent representative transactions include advising Secured Capital and its real estate investment funds on its transactions in Japan and China, including hard asset and loan acquisitions, buy-backs and workouts of distressed debt, and advising Shinsei Bank on a major real estate loan restructuring.
