Position

Alistair is the Managing Partner of the Leeds office and a Partner in the Healthcare and Regulatory team. He is a highly accomplished practitioner and advocate, representing healthcare professionals and providers in regulatory, disciplinary, coronial and criminal proceedings, investigations and prosecutions. He is frequently instructed by the major medical defence organisations (MDOs), healthcare providers and individual professionals in a wide variety of complex regulatory proceedings and misconduct hearings.

Alistair advises on a range of matters including:

  • Fitness to practise investigations and hearings at the General Medical Council (GMC) and
  • Coroner’s inquests
  • Trust disciplinary investigations and MHPS hearings
  • Criminal Investigations and Prosecutions
  • Performers List investigations and PLDP hearings

Alistair is an experienced advocate regularly appearing before MPTS and GDC hearings, Coroners Inquests and Criminal Court hearings. He obtained his Higher Rights of Audience to represent clients in all courts in 2005.

Career

Alistair qualified in 1996. He Joined RadcliffesLeBrasseur in 2006 and was made a partner in 2012. He became managing partner of the Leeds office in 2016.
