Position
Simon is a Partner in the Healthcare team. He represents doctors and dentists in criminal, disciplinary, regulatory and employment matters and inquests. He has many years’ experience advising and providing representation for clients. His caseload involves high profile, complex and often sensitive issue and includes inquests, GMC, GDC, LAT and MHPS disciplinary proceedings and in criminal cases. Simon has successfully advised healthcare professionals in their appeals to the High Court and the Court of Appeal, judicial review, criminal investigations through to trial, NHSE LAT and MHPS proceedings and at the GMC and GDC. He regularly appears as an advocate at the GMC/MPTS Interim Orders Tribunal, GDC IOC hearings, NHS Local Area Team disciplinary hearings, inquests, the Magistrates Court, other investigatory meetings including under Maintaining High Professional Standards in the NHS. He also represents clients at interviews and other hearings. Simon regularly provides seminars, workshops and training to healthcare professionals.
Career
Simon also has extensive experience of the residential and commercial property sector having been in-house counsel and company secretary of a private property development company.
