Partner specialising in construction projects dealing with both contract drafting and disputes (domestic and international), acting for most sectors of the industry and involving a wide range of projects large and small, such as house building, office and retail development, manufacturing plant, hospitals, sports stadia and infrastructure. Suzanne acts principally for developers, project sponsors, consultants and specialist contractors. Her recent project procurement drafting experience includes: leading the construction work for the extensive redevelopment of a well-known hospital in London, a major office development in central London on behalf of a European investor, and acting for the house builder on the completion of a residential site in Hertfordshire ‘moth balled’ after the insolvency of the contractor and developer.


Suzanne qualified as a solicitor in 1979 and became a partner at Wedlake Bell in 1983. She has long featured as a leading construction lawyer in Legal Business’ Legal Experts, in Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession as a leader in construction and in the Legal 500.    In recent years she has featured as a “Super Lawyer” in the magazine of that name distributed with the Daily Telegraph.


She sits on the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) Drafting Sub-Committee, is a committee member of the Technology and Construction Solicitor’s Association and a member of the Society of Construction Law. She sat on the Government payment review working party set up to review the payment provisions of the Construction Act. Suzanne is an accredited adjudicator and CEDR qualified mediator.
