Position

Jori Taipale is a highly reputed lawyer within corporate mergers and acquisitions, private equity, banking and financial services, and competition and EU law, with over 25 years’ experience.

Today, Jori is the Head of Bird & Bird’s Nordic region, and a member of our International Corporate and M&A, Banking & Finance and Competition & EU Law Groups.

Career

Jori is often the leading partner in demanding cross-border and domestic M&A and finance transactions as well as in merger filings and major cartel and competition proceedings. He has also acted as an arbitrator in commercial disputes including proceedings around M&A transactions.

Before its merger with Bird & Bird, Jori was the managing partner of Fennica Attorneys in Finland. Prior to this he was an associate and junior partner at another leading Finnish firm.
