Ms. Yang has been focusing on cross-border international practice for more than 20 years, serving both Chinese and international clients in fields as diverse as general corporate and commercial, capital markets and corporate finance, M&A, foreign inbound investment, Chinese companies’ outbound investment, international trade, private equity and venture capital, IP strategy and general compliance, restructuring, repurposing strategy, insolvency and cross-border dispute resolutions.

She has represented clients active in a number of different industries, including securities, investment and funds, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare and life sciences, energy, environmental protection, infrastructure, internet and e-commerce, digital media, entertainment, education, manufacturing, real estate, tourism, hotel management, hi-tech, telecom and others.

Her work has been greatly appreciated by clients particularly with regard to her practical, constructive sometimes strategic advice in structuring complex transactions, the efficient and effective handling of voluminous transaction documents, her full competence in painstaking negotiations in English, and the provision of value-added services to both Chinese and foreign clients in cross-border business matters.

She was recommended by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2017 and has been included in the 2020 and 2022 edition of China Business Law Journal’s Top 100 A List, which identifies the top tier 100 private practice lawyers for China-related business. She is listed in the talent pool established by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC which identifies experienced lawyers in international legal practice, and appointed by a regional municipality in eastern China as a legal expert for the Belt & Road Initiative. She also serves the EU SME Centre as a Legal Expert. She has been certified by the Chinese regulator to be eligible to sit on the board of public companies in China as an independent director.

Ms. Yuhua YANG graduated from Peking University with an LL.B. degree and a BA (Econ). She received an LL.M. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate of Study in Business and Public Policy from Wharton School in 2006.
