Career

Nakul is a corporate, commercial and transactional lawyer and is part of the General Corporate practice group in our firm’s New Delhi office. Nakul is also a computer science engineer and has worked with one of India’s major IT giants as a software developer. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in technology and being a corporate lawyer, he brings on the table a blend of understanding in technology and legal expertise for our clients.

His practice mainly consists of acting for companies, promoters, investors, corporate clients etc., on a wide range of domestic and cross- border transactions including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, mergers, restructuring, private equity and strategic investments, primary and secondary equity issues and rendering legal advice on day to day corporate matters and matters in relation to intellectual property law.

Apart from transaction and corporate advisory work, he routinely advises corporate and clients on various industry sectors (such as dairy, healthcare, renewable energy, credit rating, payment systems and technology) on entry, exit and presence in the Indian market and other general corporate matters under Indian laws.

Relevant Experience:

• Advised various companies and funds in M&A transactions, court approved amalgamations, ranging from acquisitions of companies, business transfers, amalgamations and reorganizations, with sector expertise in manufacturing, engineering consulting, retail, e-commerce, technology, hospitality, health care, dairy, F&B sector, infra-projects and energy.
• Advised on investment transactions ranging from private equity, venture capital, debt financing in sectors including F&B, energy, technology, automobile, skill development, investment funds and social impact space.
• Advised large corporates, private equity funds and Fortune 500 multi-national corporations on general day-to-day corporate advisory matters in relation to laws in India, including on setting up of businesses in India, compliances on conducting business, in sectors ranging from manufacturing, engineering consulting, retail, e-commerce, technology, hospitality, health care, dairy and F&B sector.
• Advised on Technology Laws and Data Protection related matters, including contractual matters, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and risk assessments.
