Isobel is a Solicitor in the Family Team.

Isobel assists the team with a variety of family law matters including divorce and financial remedy upon divorce, cohabitation and private law children matters (Schedule 1 claims and section 8 orders).

Prior to joining the Family Team, Isobel completed her training contract with Ashfords LLP, undertaking 6-month seats in Commercial Property, Trusts & Estates, Disputed Wills & Trusts and Family.

Prior to joining Ashfords, Isobel studied Law with International Study at the University of Exeter and completed her LPC at the University of Law in Bristol. As part of her degree Isobel spent one year at the University of Wollongong in Australia.

Isobel is the Charity Representative for the Law Society Devon and Somerset Junior Lawyers’ Division.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• Various clients: Assisting the Lead Partner in financial remedy proceedings concerning high net worth individuals with businesses, pensions, trust assets, inherited wealth and complicated financial arrangements.
• Various private clients: Representing parents in private children law matters, including where a child should live and how much time they should spend with the other parent.
• Various private clients: Providing asset protection advice to unmarried cohabiting couples, involving preparing Cohabitation Agreements.
• Private client: Assisting the Lead Partner with a complex child relocation matter. This involved preparing a leave to remove application on behalf of the mother together with a detailed relocation plan to illustrate to the court how contact would work moving forward.
