Mr. Yongqing (William) Huang specializes in securities law, mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, and PRC antitrust filings.

Before joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, Mr. Huang practiced in a PRC law firm, Haiwen & Partners, for four years, and afterwards in Shearman & Sterling LLP Beijing office for five years.  He has accumulated extensive experience in the areas of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, and PRC anti-trust filings.  Mr. Huang has also represented many PRC financial institutions, State-owned enterprises and Chinese private firms in overseas and A-share IPOs.  Mr. Huang has special interests in the industries of Internet, healthcare, petro-chemical, telecommunications, media, banking, insurance and real estate.
Mr. Huang obtained the PRC lawyer’s qualification certificate in 2006 and was admitted to the New York bar in 2007.

Mr. Huang graduated from Peking University Law School in 1998 with an LL.B. degree and in 2002 with an LL.M.  He received another LL.M. degree in 2001 from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (where he was a Sohmen Scholar).
