Personal Injury: Industrial Disease
Madelene is a principal lawyer and head of the industrial disease team, the travel litigation team and the military injuries team.
Madelene specialises in claims for compensation for victims and their families of asbestos related diseases, chemical poisonings, occupational asthma, noise induced hearing loss as well as workplace accidents.
She also specialises in Carbon Monoxide Poisoning cases which is an extremely unique area of law. It is highly unlikely that there is another lawyer in the country who has as much expertise in these types of cases. She has been involved in, and continues to get instructed on, high profile CO cases including CO fatalities.
Madelene joined Pannone Solicitors as a trainee solicitor in 2005 and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. She became a Principal Lawyer with Slater and Gordon in 2014.
Madelene is an Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) accredited Senior Litigator and Occupational Disease Specialist.
Slater and Gordon handles a diverse range of work in the personal injury field. The practice is jointly led by Jordan Bell, who is highly recommended for asbestos-related claims; military injury specialist Madelene Holdsworth; and managing partner and catastrophic injury litigator Matthew Tomlinson. Abuse and public inquiries experts Kim Harrison and Richard Scorer also form an integral part of the team, handling major high-profile work, including a claim stemming from the Manchester Arena Bombing public inquiry. Also recommended are Michael Hardacre, who handles occupiers’ and public liability work, brain injury specialist Richard Crabtree, and experienced industrial disease lawyer Pauline Chandler.
