The ‘specialist construction and engineering team’ at Beale & Co is well regarded for its experience in advising design and build contractors, engineering consultants, and construction companies on a wide range of sectors. The team is equipped to advise on contract terminations in the domestic infrastructure sector, engineering and procurement matters for joint venture clients in the energy industry, and additional fee claims. Sheena Sood and head of international arbitration Antony Smith jointly lead the team, specialising in contract disputes and cross-border litigation respectively. Situated in the firm’s wider construction and environmental practice, Michael Salau assists with arbitration and adjudication, while Nathan Modell‘s client list includes engineers, contractors, and architects. Ian Masser is also recommended. David Nitek joined the team in May 2025 from Herbert Smith Freehills LLP.
