JOSE JULIUS R. CASTRO

graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2004 with a degree in Management Economics where he was a consistent member of the Dean’s list. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from San Beda Alabang School of Law in 2013 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2014.

Prior to taking up law, Mr. Castro managed his family’s businesses, specifically several branches of The Old Spaghetti House. He also served as a consultant for Congressman Ronald Cosalan.

In 2014, Mr. Castro joined SPCMB as a Junior Associate, and is now a Partner in the Litigation Department, where he gained extensive experience in handling criminal, civil, labor, election, and estate cases.

Mr. Castro served as the Assistant Corporate Secretary of the United Nationalist Alliance from 2014 up to 2016.

On 7 July 2021, he was appointed as one of the Commissioners of the Commission on Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of Philippines. He is currently serving his second term as a Commissioner.

In 2024, he was also a law professor, teaching Civil Procedure in Philippine Law School.

Mr. Castro served as the Assistant Corporate Secretary of the United Nationalist Alliance from 2014 up to 2016.

On 7 July 2021, he was appointed as one of the Commissioners of the Commission on Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of Philippines.
