Career
Laura Mazur is the head of the Litigation Department and specializes in complex, commercial litigation. She works closely with clients during all stages of their business activities; she advises on investment processes, contract negotiations and execution, and litigation. Laura is skilled in identifying risks, problem-solving, and creating litigation strategies. She is adept at protecting and preserving evidence for the purpose of dispute mitigation. She has an extensive experience in the construction, medical and energy sectors, providing her clients with daily, on-going legal services including, among others: drafting correspondence with investors and contractors, mainly focusing on implementation of contracts, financial settlements, conclusion of works, preparing case strategies for initiating or defending in proceedings for renumerations, contract penalties or other, and finally representation of clients in court. She has represented clients in domestic and international court proceedings and arbitrations (ICC, SAKIG, SIDIR, Lewiatan, Swiss Rules). Laura is a skilled negotiator and has acted as a mediator for numerous disputes. Prior to the creation of Viroux & Partners, Laura worked at another prominent, international law firm in Warsaw.
