Position
I am a Senior Associate in the Projects team at Michelmores. I have over 10 years’ experience advising both the private and public sector and have been individually recognised by Legal 500 UK as a Rising Star in my practice area and region.
I advise on a variety of PFI and PPP projects and have experience across various central and local governmental departments, other public sector bodies, including universities and NHS Trusts, as well as private sector service providers with an increasing focus on the facilities management sector.
My work with private sector entities includes advising ISS Mediclean Limited (part of the ISS Group) in relation to its UK PFI projects, particularly within the healthcare sector. I provide ongoing support to ISS on a variety of its long-term PFI projects on a range of complex issues, including payment disputes, service reconfiguration and variations.
I also advise Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in relation to its PFI Project Agreement with Catalyst, particularly in relation to its programme to achieve operational savings from its existing PFI and commercial contracts. This advice is varied and has recently included advising the Trust in relation to its market testing of the soft facilities management services provided to the Hospital and its negotiations with its service provider in order to agree an extension of the current contractual arrangements.
These projects are crucial to the ongoing provision of clinical services at the various hospitals and my contribution to this work, which involves working as an extension of our clients’ internal teams, provides me with a sense of pride, given the fundamental nature of these public services. I am also very proud of the relationships I have built and developed during my time with Michelmores and constantly strive to build on and nurture these relationships.
