Maryam is a partner in our energy & infrastructure team in London.

She is an energy and infrastructure specialist advising on the development, financing and regulation of energy and infrastructure projects globally, as well as on the refinancing and sale and purchase of these assets.

Linklaters LLP‘s energy and infrastructure practice group boasts a team of seasoned professionals noted for their expertise in significant power and nuclear work, encompassing acquisitions, investigations, and regulatory matters. The global energy and utilities practice is chaired by Richard Coar and Chris Staples, recognised for assisting with the acquisition, development, and financing of complex energy projects transactions. Daniel Tyrer leads the firm’s global energy and infrastructure group, while power sector specialist Jeremy Gewirtz handles investigations pertaining to alleged licence breaches. Linklaters LLP holds a near-unrivalled position in the offshore wind market, overseeing first-of-its-kind projects in both the Asian and European markets. Beyond this, the team is active on pathfinder projects in the UK, advising public authorities, bidding consortia, and funders. Practice head Daniel Tyrer chiefly acts for sponsors and lenders on a wide array of project finance and development transactions, particularly in the oil and gas space. Richard Ginks’ multifarious practice encompasses M&A, development, and financing structures, working with a stellar roster of funds, developers and commercial lenders, while Jeremy Gewirtz is principally noted for his project finance acumen, recently advising on renewables and decarbonisation mandates. Richard Coar draws on financing, development and regulatory capabilities to advise a range of clients involved in complex international energy projects. Alongside her work in the offshore wind market, Francesca Matthews‘ recent instructions are marked by a notable uptick in low carbon projects. Maryam Adamji has taken a lead role on a number of marquee UK projects, advising the UK Government on the development and delivery of Sizewell C. Andrew Jones retired in 2023.
