(Leading associates)While lacking much core pure charities law expertise in Wales, practitioners in a number of practice areas at Blake Morgan LLP ‘s Cardiff office, including real estate, public sector and litigation, regularly interface with the firm’s strong national South East England-based charities team across a range of contentious and non-contentious issues. An exception to this is Trish D’Souza who does handle some charities work on her own (as well as alongside practitioners from Reading) in the context of her education practice, including advice on governance, commercial and regulatory matters for registered charity Swansea University. Reading-based Ben Brice heads up the firm’s national charities practice and regularly works on matters with a Welsh nexus. Rebecca McCarthy joined the group in June 2024 from Hugh James.
