Position

As a partner specialising in real estate, construction and environmental areas, I advise the largest real estate market players on all development-related issues, including zoning, land law, design and construction. The Legal 500 has described me as “very helpful and hands-on” which well reflects my core working principles.

Career

Energy and infrastructure development projects. Asta has assisted clients in major energy and infrastructure development projects in Lithuania varying from nuclear facilities to railway development.

FIDIC specialist. With her main focus on construction-related issues and FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers)-based construction contracts, Asta has assisted clients in drafting and applying this type of contract in Lithuania as well as resolving disputes under FIDIC in the Lithuanian jurisdiction. In addition, she has participated in international training on FIDIC and is seeking to educate local market players on how to apply the federation’s rules.

Focus on environmental law. Asta leads the firm’s Environmental practice in Lithuania and specialises in environmental issues related to development, such as protection zones, environmental impact assessment, public health and safety, and soil contamination.

Bachelor’s degree in economics. Besides a master’s degree in law, Asta also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics.

The energy and infrastructure team at Sorainen regularly advises clients on significant energy and infrastructure projects across the region. Within the energy sector, the team is constantly involved in major energy transactions, be that in renewables, gas, electricity, heating or nuclear power. Furthermore, the practice possesses great experience in navigating the infrastructure market, whether that is in relation to regulatory issues, political challenges or uncertain economic environments. The team is led by co-heads Sergej Butov, who also leads the corporate and M&A team, and Asta Augutytė-Rapkevičienė, who assists clients in major energy and infrastructure development projects.
