Career
ayardo has more than 20 years of experience in international business, foreign investment, cross-border merger and acquisition, financial projects, debt issuance, and multilateral and syndicated credit operations. He has practice in regulatory affairs, public procurement, public-private partnership; legal support and participation in projects related to the energy, hydrocarbon, mining and electrical sectors. He is also a consultant and advisor to multinational private entities. He was a consultant to the Ecuadorian State for the implementation of free competition legislation and regulation. He has experience in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Before joining ECIJA GPA, he has been a partner and associate in important law firms in Quito and Brussels.

Education
Bayardo is a Lawyer and Doctor in Jurisprudence from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. He has a postgraduate degree in Financial, Banking and Insurance Law at the Simón Bolívar Andean University of Quito, he also has an LLM in Law and Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. He has completed postgraduate studies in International Commercial Arbitration, at the Academy of International Law in The Hague, and in Economic Aspects of Free Competition Law, at the Catholic University of Santiago, in Chile.
