Career
Jan specializes in white-collar crime and has extensive experience both as a defender and counsel for aggrieved parties in cases related to business activities. He represents corporate and individual clients in domestic and cross-border cases before law enforcement authorities and in court. He also advises and represents clients in civil business disputes. He has over 15 years of experience in legal counseling for businesses.
Jan has worked on a number of complex domestic and cross-border criminal proceedings involving issues such as insider trading, money laundering, fraud and corporate misconduct. He has successfully represented clients in cybercrime cases, particularly those involving scams committed using social engineering.
He advises businesses on planning and implementing compliance policies and solutions to enhance business security.
Jan is a member of the European Criminal Bar Association and the European Fraud and Compliance Lawyers. He has also authored publications on cybercrime and business crime.
His strong market position in in the area of white collar-crime and dispute resolutions is confirmed by rankings such as Chambers Europe, Legal 500 EMEA, and the Polish ranking of law firms of Rzeczpospolita (Market Leader).
He has been with Łaszczuk & Partners since 2007. In January 2019 he became a partner.
