Career
Tarek El Hassan is a Special Counsel at SASLO’s Dispute Resolution Practice. He is a Lebanese lawyer with over 17 years of experience in litigating complex civil, commercial, labor and insurance cases. In Lebanon, Tarek was Partner & Head of Litigation at Antoine Abboud & Associates (from 2013 till 2018), and then Partner & Co-Head of Litigation at Alem & Associates in 2019 and 2020.
In addition to Litigation, Tarek has expertise in Regulatory and General Corporate matters in both Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. In 2011, Tarek was seconded to act as the representative of AL Tayyar law firm (in cooperation with Alem & Associates) before the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh. In 2010, Tarek was appointed as the legal advisor of the Lebanese Minister of Finance. He was also appointed in 2009 as the legal advisor of the Insurance Control Commission at the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade.
Tarek is currently representing a range of local and international clients in various employment, commercial, and civil disputes.
