Stek is able to tackle loan structuring for clients from a variety of sectors, with standout expertise in advising hospitals and the broader healthcare sector on the specific requirements placed on their credit facilities. This is the core area of expertise of Sharon Kaufmann, with Herman Wamelink providing assistance on project and asset-based financing. Maarten van der Graaf is well versed in the structuring of cross-border facilities, while Marleen Veenstra handles a mixture of corporate lending and acquisition finance.

Netherlands > Banking and finance: lender or arranger side

Stek expanded its financial services offering with the July 2024 hiring of Kelly Visser-van der Vooren from A&O Shearman, who leads the firm’s newly established restructuring and insolvency team. This adds to the firm’s existing lender-side practice, which advises Dutch banks on providing acquisition and project finance. The core team consists of energy project finance specialist Sharon Kaufmann, debt financing expert Herman Wamelink, Maarten van der Graaf, who focuses on cross-border financing arrangements and Marleen Veenstra, whose competencies include acquisition and corporate financing.
