Position

Kenny is a partner and joint head of the firm’s dispute resolution department, having joined Glovers as a trainee solicitor in 2002.

 

Career

He provides specialist advice and assistance to clients across the banking and real estate finance, commercial property and hospitality and leisure sectors, and has extensive experience of contentious property matters and associated professional negligence and insolvency disputes.

Kenny has a wealth of experience advising financial institutions and insolvency practitioners on contentious banking matters, with a particular focus on enforcement, recovery and restructuring work; recovering possession of charged assets; and associated insolvency work, such as the appointment of receivers and administrators.

Kenny’s property litigation work involves advising a diverse range of clients on all aspects of contentious commercial and residential real estate issues, including landlord and tenant disputes; business tenancy terminations and renewals; residential lease renewals and enfranchisement; arrears, possession, forfeiture and trespasser claims; and disputes arising out of property development.

Kenny is recommended in the Legal 500 and has been described over the years as ‘savvy’‘superb’, ‘at the top of his game’, having ‘real expertise in mortgages’ and ‘excellent client liaison skills’ and being ‘possibly the calmest solicitor in the market’.
