Career

Alina Stăvaru is a partner of RTPR. Alina is primarily involved in mergers and acquisitions, particularly private equity, complex corporate and capital restructurings, spin-offs and other corporate matters. Alina heads our employment department, having an impressive experience in advising companies on labour law matters covering a large range of matters such as complex transfers of business, collective dismissals, sensitive high-profile individual dismissals, day-to-day employment compliance matters.
She boasts an impressive client base including private equity funds such as Mid Europa Partners, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, the funds advised by 3TS Capital Partners (having advised on almost all their investments in Romania), Enterprise Investors, Advent International Corporation, Global Finance, Allianz Capital Partners, Morphosis Capital, as well as huge international companies in various industries, such as Facebook, DHL, Banco Comercial Português, GFC Alliance, and entrepreneurs.
Recently Alina played an important role in Intesa Sanpaolo Bank’s acquisition of First Bank from J.C. Flowers; Jean Valvis’ sale of a 20% stake in AQUA Carpatica to PepsiCo; Innova Capital on several acquisitions in Romania,such as PayPoint, Netopia Group and EMI Group; the sale of A&D Pharma, the largest pharma group in Romania, to Dr Max, the Czech pharmacy chain owned by Penta Investments; Allianz Capital Partners on the acquisition of a 30% stake in E.ON Distributie Romania, the largest electricity and gas distribution network operator in the northern part of Romania; Advent International Corporation on the exit from the healthcare service provider Regina Maria; Facebook on the acquisition of the LiveRail group, a video advertising business created by a Romanian entrepreneur, with presence in New York, UK and Romania; Catalyst Romania on several investments in Romanian technology companies; Banco Comercial Português, the largest bank in Portugal, on the sale of Millennium Bank to OTP.
